"To fully enjoy all that life has to offer ....
you need to be as "able" as possible to participate in life...
That means be confident in your physical abilities and be prepared to handle all that life throws at you. Whether in business, sports, family fun, or love; you perform better when you are healthy and fit."

A Little Fitness History
The concept of fitness has changed over the years. In 1968 Kenneth Cooper came out with his best selling book Aerobics and began a movement that emphasized aerobic exercise as the secret to weight loss. A few years later Arnold Schwarzenegger burst onto the scene and convinced us all that muscle isolation body building would make us the fittest we could be. Arthur Jones took the muscle isolation concept farther when he invented the first Nautilus circuit and the modern health club was born.
Now you could exercise aerobically on a treadmill and then build isolated muscles by following a circuit of simple to use strength machines. Exercise this way 3 times per week and you had the perfect program to make you fit. No problem. Except....it didn't work. You didn't lose the body fat that you wanted and you didn't look like Arnold or any other figure model. In fact you were not even functionally stronger.
You see, all those leg extensions and hamstring curls didn't allow you to lift more weight, compete better in sports, or even help prevent injuries. Why? Because when you lift an object (barbell, suitcase, grandchild etc.) it is a compound movement that involves many different major, minor, and stabilizer muscles all working together to complete the task. All those hours you spent on the leg extension machine isolating your quadriceps only worked your quadriceps and not your secondary support muscles. Not exercising those support muscles made them weak links in the chain. The result was all show and no go and that's a good prescription for an injury.
Well what about weight loss you may ask? Doesn't aerobic exercise (elliptical, treadmill, stair climber) promote rapid fat loss? The truth is yes it helps burn fat but not effectively and is actually about 10th on the list of exercises for fat loss efficiency. You can spend an hour running on the treadmill and will only shed a few hundred calories (that's the craft beer you had last night) and 20 minutes after you finish the run, your basal metabolic rate goes right back to where it was before you started...end of the benefit. Man, thats a lot of time and work for 1 beer! To burn any substantial amount of body fat you would have to spend hours and hours on that treadmill. Who has that kind of time?! Not me! But what if there was another way? Keep reading...

What Type Of Exercise Works?
Numerous studies in recent years have proven that short burst high intensity training (think about bringing your heart rate into the anaerobic range for several seconds followed by periods of recovery/rest) is very effective for burning fat. In fact it is so effective that just one 15 minute workout will burn more calories than an hour jogging on a treadmill and will raise your basal metabolic rate for up to 36 hours after the workout is over! That's right your still burning calories at an elevated rate the next night after your workout! Wow, talk about efficiency! Combine this with proper nutrition and constantly changing compound movement strength training and you have a recipe for serious muscle growth, cardiovascular improvment, and fat loss. How Is Warrior Different?
Warrior Fitness will change the way you think about fitness and nutrition and provide results that will last your lifetime. Forget everything you have been told, we break the mold by taking you off the machines and training you on your feet as an athlete. In fact we consider every participant an athlete and every athlete a Warrior. Every activity in life, be it carrying your groceries, playing with your kids, moving furniture, or climbing stairs puts athletic demands on your body and to us that qualifies you as an athlete. You are a Warrior because you are doing battle with complacency; engaged in a epic challenge to transform yourself.
The first 30 days of every Warrior's program is called Foundations. In Foundations we gradually ramp up your conditioning while teaching you proper form, function, and everything else you need to know to participate in the regular "Tribe " workouts. During Foundations we also follow a comprehensive nutrition plan designed to shed body fat, increase muscle growth, reduce systematic inflammation, and fuel your workouts. This is not a diet, we are not counting calories, it's an eating style. We eat as much as we need to maintain strength, energy, and a healthy body weight.
We start with a Functional Movement Screen to identify functional limitations and asymmetries that a participant may have. The FMS quickly identifies any dangerous movement patterns so that they can be addressed. It also indicates an individual’s readiness to perform exercise so that realistic goals can be set and achieved.
Followed by Segmental Body Composition Analysis and Baseline Exercise Tracking. This enables us to quantitatively assess your starting point and how you progress through the the workouts. You can't manage what you don't measure.
The workouts are completely scaleable to any ability level. It doesn't matter if you have never worked out before or have spent all of your time in a gym, everyone does the same workout, we just modify the intensity and weight to suit your abilities.
All of our workouts are based on full range functional movements with practical life applications. The workouts change every day which causes your body to adapt and therefor progress.
We treat fitness as a sport by scoring and timing the workouts. It creates a bit of competition which will motivate you, but be aware that we are the only sport who's participants cheers loudest for the athlete who finishes last!
We guarantee the results!
